1. How do you define FitFluential?

Inspiring and motivating others to get moving and stay healthy.

2. What is your main motivation to be fit?

Unfortunately, I know what it?s like to be very unhealthy. I battled anorexia from age 16-20 and have seen myself weak and malnourished. Now that I?m recovered, I want to make sure my body is as healthy and strong as it can be.

?

3. FitFluential believes the key to balance is Eat, Sleep, Move, Enjoy. What is your favorite way to Enjoy Life?

I?m a big believer in balance. During my eating disorder I rarely let myself have fun. Now, I make sure to hang out with friends, try new restaurants, and allow myself to be lazy. Pedicures are my indulgence, and a night with girlfriends and a bottle of wine sounds perfect.

4. What is your regular fitness routine?

I try to change it up and am always finding new things I love. Last year I trained for a marathon and adored Bikram Yoga, but right now I?m really into CrossFit. I try to go to CrossFit around 4 times a week, leaving time for a few mid-length runs, spinning classes, and yoga.

5. What advice do you have for someone at the beginning of their fitness journey?

Everyone starts somewhere, so don?t be discouraged or embarrassed! Find an activity you like and start small. There?s no need to run for hours or do yoga every day, just find what works for you and know that you?re doing something great for your body.

What do you do for a living?

I work full time as an advertising account executive, but have a fair amount of side jobs involving my passion for health and fitness. I see clients as a Certified Holistic Health Coach, writing for Living Fit Dallas magazine, contribute to a few websites, and of course manage my blog Fitting It All In. It keeps me busy, but I love it!
